Potsdam Institute for Applied Research (PIAR)

The Potsdam Institute for Applied Research (PIAR) is a university-based research institute which has as its mission providing high quality, cost effective data collection, evaluation, survey, reporting and other research services to North Country communities, schools, and agencies.

PIAR, led by a team of experts is on the State University of New York at Potsdam campus. Professional skills and knowledge include economics, education, healthcare, program design and development and evaluation, data collection and statistical analysis.

Agency staff has extensive experience in applied research, applied computer applications for data collection and analysis along with experience in economics and labor market issues.

Experience

PIAR is currently involved in projects funded by the New York State Education Department, Social Security Administration and the University of Oregon's National Post-School Outcomes Center.

Projects

Throughout the north country PIAR has provided services in the areas of community development, education and health.
