Performing Arts Center Building Project
Connecting Communities through Art
The dream of a performing arts center on campus has been long awaited. Under the solid guidance of Pfeiffer Partners Architects, SUNY Potsdam will break ground for the building in early 2011. Performance spaces and surrounding areas will be intimately scaled and relative to one another. Conceptually, this will inspire the visitor and artist to feel as thought they have entered an Arts Village-a collaborative space where creativity thrives.
The building will be a mechanism through which we can:
- Provide our students with practice and performance spaces that host cutting-edge technology
- Render access to the wealth and richness of the arts for the campus and greater community
- Offer a centralized hub and portal where all the arts - performing, visual, musical and literary - can be created, showcased and shared.
From genesis to culmination:
