The Economics Department offers several research opportunities for students.
Economics and Business Economics students at SUNY Potsdam have the opportunity to pursue independent research with economics faculty members.
They may also pursue summer research on campus.
The department offers research courses on a regular basis every year. Students are encouraged to take these research courses where they get an opportunity to work with individual faculty members on research projects.
Our students have pursed research interests that include computational and statistical studies, experiential and behavioral studies and policy and impact studies.
In recent years economics students have made research presentations at regional meetings and published their work in The American Economist.
