Communication majors or minors considered for undergraduate membership must have at least sixty credit hours, a minimum overall grade point average of 3.0, and a grade point average in at least twelve credit hours in communication courses of 3.25.

A member of the Association of College Honor Societies, Lambda Pi Eta (LPH) was started by students of the Department of
Communication at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1985. Lambda Pi Eta became a part of the National Communication Association (NCA) in 1988, and the official honor society of the NCA in July 1995. Our Delta Omicron Chapter was founded shortly after that.
