The History Department at SUNY Potsdam is justly proud of its students’ accomplishments. To showcase their best work in the seminar and foster esprit de corps, the department, in conjunction with the History Association, initiated a student presentation series in fall 2006. The authors of standout seminar papers from the previous year are asked to present their work to a mixed audience of faculty, students, and the public. This experience is meant to introduce advanced students to the expectations of graduate schools, and to impress future seminar students as to the quality of work capable of being produced.
