Physics graduates build careers in teaching, performing research for private companies, foundations and universities or enter fields in computers, industry, engineering, communications or science writing. SUNY Potsdam’s recent physics graduates have found jobs in companies such as IBM, Lockheed, Rockwell International, Leeds & Northrup, Pattern Analysis and Recognition, Raytheon, Central Dynamics and Eastman Kodak; their positions include computer programmer, engineer, sales engineer, engineer on the space program, systems analyst and optical technician. Other students have continued their studies on the graduate level.
