Located in the St. Lawrence River valley of upstate New York, Potsdam is near the Canadian border and just outside of the Adirondack Park - a perfect place to visit in autumn.
This year’s conference theme, “Thinking Globally, Seeing Sociologically,” is inspired by the work of our keynote speakers Peter Menzel and Faith D'Aluisio, the creators of an incredible series of books that bring global stratification, cultural diversity, and environmental concerns vividly to life. Their titles include Material World, Women in the Material World, Hungry Planet: What the World Eats, and What I Eat: Around the World in 80 Diets. Click here for more information about them and their work.
