There are four tracks of study within the Bachelor of Music, Music Education degree program.The courses within these tracks prepare a student to teach in one specific area and are automatically assigned according to the instrument/voice on which s/he are auditioning:
|Audition Area||Primary Music Education Track|
|Wind or Percussion Instrument||Band|
|Piano, Guitar, Harp||General Music|
Students who are interested in preparing to teach in a track other than the one listed above will need to complete a secondary audition in a related audition area. Accepted students should contact the Crane Office of Admissions when they begin classes to arrange for this evaluation.
On the day of the audition, the prospective student will be asked to complete a performance audition and an aural evaluation (AE Sample Treble Clef PDFAE Sample Treble Clef PDF | AE Sample Bass Clef PDF).
