This quote by Benjamin Franklin clearly summarizes the philosophy of the Childhood/Early Childhood Education Program at SUNY Potsdam.  Learning requires involvement.  Our students are involved in the learning process from the first day they enter the program. 

Whether it's in the biology lab or the Literacy Center, SUNY Potsdam Childhood/Early Childhood Education majors are constantly involved. 

We believe that by allowing students to explore and think outside the box they will become teachers that will change lives.

This combined major is designed to allow students to earn an undergraduate degree leading to Initial certification for Childhood/Early Childhood levels (birth through grade 6).
