Advice to transfer students

 
Students planning to complete an Associate’s degree then transfer to
SUNY Potsdam to pursue the B.A. in environmental studies should begin
correspondence with the program coordinator as early as possible, so
they can complete certain classes at their sending institution before
arriving at SUNY Potsdam. In that way courses in geology, biology,
intermediate writing, and environmental science or studies may be
transferred toward the major.
Most transfer students will need a minimum of five semesters to finish
the major. Students with sufficient transfer credits and high academic
achievement (3.5 and higher) can sometimes reduce that to four
semesters.
