SUNY Potdam

Middle Ground is a student-run association whose mission is to research and publicize environmental problems and solutions affecting the campus, the region, and the world. Students are welcome from any major or minor degree program. 

Recent projects have been organizing campus events commemorating Earth Day 2008, participating in the Focus the Nation national teach-in, 2008, and in the Step It Up! National Awareness March 2007.

Get Involved

• Working with the Environment and Society class, as well as the Technical Writing class, we are working to reduce bottled water consumption on campus.
  
• Looking into holding an Earth Fair, during Earth Week next semester, when we will have the student union reserved for vendors and educators. 
• Conducting a know-your-vote campaign with Student Government Association to provide background to the campus about the various candidates and their views on the environment for election 2008.
