Internships: Curricular Practical Training (CPT)
Curricular Practical Training (CPT) is "an alternate work/study, internship, cooperative education, or any other type of required internship or practicum which is offered by sponsoring employers" through agreements with SUNY Potsdam (NAFSA Adviser's Manual).
CPT is available to qualifying international students, particularly those students who are doing a student teaching experience/practicum in the U.S. and students with declared Information & Communication Technology majors who wish to fulfill degree requirements by completing an internship in the U.S. For more information about the qualifications for CPT, please contact staff in the International Education & Programs Office (Sisson Hall).
International students MUST complete CPT paperwork with BOTH the Experiential Education Office AND International Education & Programs BEFORE beginning an internship.
