M.S.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction

This program is designed to meet the needs and interests of all education professionals. Those individuals who seek to obtain professional certification will find that the program not only meets the state requirements for certification, but has the flexibility to provide for individualized course planning. Individuals who wish to obtain a Master's degree in education, but are not seeking professional certification will find a program with the ability to be individualized to meet unique professional goals. Whether you are looking for professional certification, or the foundations to become an educator and leader, the Curriculum and Instruction program is designed to meet your needs. The Program is also available at the Watertown extension site on the campus of Jefferson Community College. Program start date: Summer, Fall, Spring

Outcomes

Students will be able to:

  • demonstrate the ability to address the diverse needs of learners through clear and detailed instructional strategies included in an instructional plan.
  • construct an autobiography that investigates, analyzes, and reflects upon diversity, multiculturalism, and inclusion as it pertains to their experiences.
  • produce and defend an action research plan through the IRB process.
  • develop research based instructional practices through the design and approval of an action plan.
