Writing, arranging and publishing music for harp ensembles
Many harpists do not get the opportunity to play in an orchestra or ensemble until they are at the college level. Performing solo repertoire is important, but quite often harpists do not have enough experience in an ensemble setting. For younger harpists, being part of a harp ensemble is a great way to start playing in a group setting. Arranging harp ensemble pieces from popular songs, this piece on the Crane Harp Ensemble. So far I have arranged popular songs, all for four harps. In future semesters, I will be revising these arrangements for publishing. Not only will I be arranging, but I will also be writing my own compositions.
