Programming a Video Game Demo
Video Game programming is a large portion of the non-scholastic Computer Science job market. Video game development has also been touted as 'recession proof' and, while not actually recession proof, game programming has been less affected by the recession than other areas. It has been my goal for the past several years to pursue a career programming video games. I have discussed this goal with several current video game developers and learned that the best way to get into commercial marketing, short of having previous experience, was to have a video game demo to include with my resume. To this end, I am programming a video game demo as my Presidential Scholars project.
