Title: The Psychology of Success: Goals, Strategies, Motivation, and Performance
The purpose of this project is to test several aspects of the goal-setting process. Previous research finds that setting goals is strongly associated with improved performance; however, there are still several open questions about the mechanisms of this process. My project will focus on expressing strategies to attain one’s goals, and having a sense of choice about the strategies one uses to attain their goals. These ideas will be tested in two experiments.
