The awards listed below do not require repayment, as long as you fulfill the requirements in the Agreement to Serve. Click on the program for more information including eligibility, award amount and time restrictions:
- Federal TEACH Grant (Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education Grant Program): You must agree to teach as a highly qualified teacher in a high-need field.
- NYS Math and Science Teacher Incentive Scholarship: You must agree to work for five years as a secondary school math or science teacher.
- NYS STEM Scholarship: You must agree to reside and work in NYS for five years in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
Students may not have a service obligation under another program. For example, students may not hold both the Federal Teach Grant and a NYS Math and Science Teacher Incentive Program award at the same time.
