Canadian Students

Due to our proximity to Ontario, SUNY Potsdam has one of the highest Canadian student enrollment of any of the 16 comprehensive SUNY colleges. Over 10% of all alumni of our graduate programs are students from Canada! We hope you will become a part of the tradition!

Canadians can enroll in any of our graduate programs on campus.  Many complete our MST teacher preparation programs in Childhood Education or Adolescence Education. New York State teacher certification is reciprocated in Ontario and acknowledged by the Ontario College of Teachers.

Exciting News!  As of January 1, 2014, SUNY Potsdam has launched the "Graduate Canadian Initiative" program.  This is a unique benefit designed exclusively for all graduate students enrolling at Potsdam who hold citizenship in Canada.  This benefit includes space in a complimentary standard double room and a $500 credit towards a meal plan on campus and will be awarded at the time of admission to SUNY Potsdam.  Contact us to find out more!

Information sessions will be hosted in spring 2014 at major cities throughout Ontario. See where below!
