Are you or someone you know interested in pursuing a Computer Science degree?  SUNY Potsdam's Computer Science Leadership and Practice Scholarship Program is funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation.  This four year project provides scholarships for needy students who transfer from SUNY Community Colleges into the Computer Science program.  Learn more.

SUNY Potsdam Wins Awards for its Recruiting Materials, Web Site
SUNY Potsdam has been recognized for excellence in design in its admissions materials and Web site by a national publication. The College recently received four awards in the 25th annual Educational Advertising Awards, sponsored by the Higher Education Marketing Report.  (Read more)

Athletes Increase Breast Cancer Awareness
Although the SUNY Potsdam Bear's basketball season may be over, the fight against breast cancer continues. In February, the SUNY Potsdam men's and women's basketball teams swapped their warm-up shirts for pink ribbon breast cancer t-shirts to raise awareness of the fight against this disease.  (Read more)

SUNY Potsdam Named to President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll
The Corporation for National and Community Service named SUNY Potsdam to the 2009 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for exemplary service efforts and service to America's communities. The Community Service Honor Roll is the highest federal recognition a school can achieve for its commitment to service-learning and civic engagement. Honorees for the award were chosen based on a series of selection factors including scope and innovativeness of service projects, percentage of student participation in service activities, incentives for service and the extent to which the school offers academic service-learning courses.  (Read more)

SUNY Potsdam Receives $573,370 National Science Foundation Grant
SUNY Potsdam's Department of Computer Science has been awarded a $573,370 grant from the National Science Foundation to establish a scholarship program to help community college students complete their bachelor's degrees at the College.  (Read more)

SUNY Potsdam Debuts First Theatre Education Degree Program in the State
SUNY Potsdam has become the first college in the State University of New York to offer a theatre education program. Since the College unveiled the new Bachelor of Arts degree late last semester, 10 students have already applied to join. The theatre education major represents a unique partnership between the College's School of Arts and Sciences and its School of Education and Professional Studies.  (Read more)
