SUNY Potsdam's Winterim session offers a three week session & increases enrollment
SUNY Potsdam’s two-week Winterim session has always been a popular choice for hundreds of students to either catch up on credits, get ahead of the game or explore an area of interest, but now with an additional three-week offering, the enrollment has seen an increase.  (Read more)

Potsdam chemistry prof awarded $37K grant for research
SUNY Potsdam Assistant Professor of Chemistry Dr. Fadi Bou-Abdallah recently received a grant from Research Corporation (Cottrell College Science Awards) in the amount of $36,925 to fund his project title “Relationships between Iron and Hydrogen Peroxide, Free Radical Formation, and Oxidative Damage in Recombinant Human and Bacterial Ferritins.”  (Read more)

SUNY Potsdam student wins film award for documentary
SUNY Potsdam student Stephanie Russo, a senior art studio major from Hamburg, was recently awarded “Best Local Film” at the second annual North Country Film Festival held in Potsdam by the North Country Film Society.  (Read more)

SUNY Potsdam music professor turns artist: Wyse paints portrait of renowned musician Leon Fleisher
World-famous piano makers Steinway & Sons recently celebrated a special unveiling of a new addition to the Steinway Art Collection: a portrait of music legend Leon Fleisher painted by fellow Steinway artist Dr. Paul Wyse, associate professor of piano at SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music.  (Read more)

Madden elected to APA Board of Educational Affairs
Dr. Margaret E. Madden, provost and vice president of academic affairs at SUNY Potsdam, recently was elected to the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Board of Educational Affairs.  (Read more)

SUNY Potsdam's music prof to perform in title role at Lincoln Center
SUNY Potsdam Crane School of Music associate professor of voice David Pittman-Jennings, a world-renowned baritone, will star in the tile role of Dallapiccola’s “Il Prigioniero” at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall in New York City on Friday, Feb. 20, at 8 p.m.  (Read more)
