The College Archives and Special Collections and the Crane Archives is available for use. SUNY Potsdam students, faculty, and staff may have access to our collections, as well as anyone outside the college community.  The State University College at Potsdam traces its roots back to the St. Lawrence Academy, founded in 1816 by land agent Benjamin Raymond.  (Read more)

SUNY Potsdam Recognizes CSTEP and TOC Graduates at Reception
The SUNY Potsdam Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) and the Teacher Opportunity Corps (TOC) recently honored more than 50 graduates at a reception held at the home of Christine and John Lancaster.  (Read more)

Community Health Professor Honored with Faculty Distance Education Award
Dr. Kelly Bonnar-Kidd of SUNY Potsdam's Department of Community Health has been named the recipient of the 2010 Thomas L. and Jane D. Russell Distance Education Faculty Excellence Award. She received the $1,000 award for her course titled "Navigating the American Diet," which she taught online in Summer 2009.  (Read more)

SUNY Potsdam Researchers Conduct Study on Health of Minorities in North Country
Two SUNY Potsdam faculty members are conducting a study to examine the health of the North Country's minority population. Dr. Kelly K. Bonnar-Kidd and Dr. Maureen A. McCarthy of the College's Community Health Department are surveying St. Lawrence County residents in an effort to determine whether there are disparities in health between people of different races and ethnicities, and if so, what factors may produce them.  (Read more)

A group of talented students from SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music recently rocked Rochester with their eclectic sounds, as they took to the stage in the Grand Finale of the Rochester Jazz Star competition.  (Read more)
