Frackenpohl Celebration CD’s Available
Thank you to the many alumni and friends who shared their good wishes and/or attended the 85th Birthday Celebration for Faculty Emeritus Arthur Frackenpohl.  The musical celebration held on May 2 was recorded and is available for purchase. The cost is $20 and all proceeds will benefit the Frackenpohl Honors Brass Quintet endowment at SUNY Potsdam.   If interested, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@potsdam.edu or 315.267.2120.

Travel Opportunity for Students and Alumni
SUNY Potsdam will be offering a travel opportunity to Mexico during the Winterim of 2010 that will be open to Potsdam alumni and students. Registration Deadline: August 21, 2009

Annual Crane Candlelight Concert
Although the holiday season is months away, now is the perfect time to contact your local PBS affiliate asking them to air the Crane Candlelight Concerts produced by WPBS, later this year.  You might also remind them that the Julia Crane Piano Competition is also available for local PBS stations.

SUNY Potsdam graduates 250 at Master's Commencement Ceremony
Nearly 250 master’s students were welcomed into the ranks of the more than 37,000 SUNY Potsdam alumni on Saturday, May 16, during the College’s fourth annual Master’s Commencement Ceremony.  (Read more)

550 Students Receive Bachelor's Degrees at SUNY Potsdam
A sea of smiles flooded the Academic Quad as more than 550 SUNY Potsdam students crossed the stage to receive their bachelor’s degrees during the College’s 175th Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, May 17.  (Read more)

Potsdam Prof Derek Maus to be a Fulbright Scholar in Austria
SUNY Potsdam Associate Professor of English and Communication Dr. Derek C. Maus has been awarded a Fulbright Scholar grant to lecture at Karl-Franzens University in Graz, Austria, during the 2009-2010 academic year.  (Read more)

Potsdam Assoc. Dean Raymond to be a Fulbright Scholar in South Africa
SUNY Potsdam Associate Dean of the School of Education and Professional Studies Dr. Eileen B. Raymond has been awarded a Fulbright Scholar grant to lecture at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth, a coastal city on the southern coast of South Africa, during the 2009-2010 academic year.  (Read more)

Potsdam Art Prof's work featured in art museums around the world
SUNY Potsdam Associate Professor of Art Marc Leuthold recently had one of his ceramic sculptures purchased by The Museum of Fine Arts in Houston (MFAH) and another purchased by The Yingge Ceramics Museum in Taipei, Taiwan.  (Read more)

The State University of New York Board of Trustees has named SUNY Potsdam Crane School of Music Professor John Lindsey a distinguished service professor and Professor of Art Dr. Caroline Downing a distinguished teaching professor.  (Read more)
