Racquette Archives!
The College Archives and Special Collections and the Crane Archives is available for use. SUNY Potsdam students, faculty, and staff may have access to our collections, as well as anyone outside the college community.  The State University College at Potsdam traces its roots back to the St. Lawrence Academy, founded in 1816 by land agent Benjamin Raymond.  (Read more)

Faculty and Staff Recognized for Excellence with SUNY Chancellor's Awards
Two SUNY Potsdam faculty and staff members were recently recognized for their hard work by being awarded the prestigious 2010 Chancellor's Awards for Excellence from State University of New York Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher.  (Read more)

SUNY Potsdam Names Winners of Prestigious President's Awards
Ten SUNY Potsdam faculty and staff members were recently honored with the 2010 President's Awards for Excellence. SUNY Potsdam President Dr. John F. Schwaller recognized the employees for their dedication and leadership at the College's annual Employee Recognition and Awards Ceremony on Friday, May 7.  (Read more)

Interest in SUNY Potsdam Surges, with Applications and Acceptances on the Rise at the College
Since SUNY Potsdam became the first college in the State University of New York system to make standardized test scores optional for most prospective students, the College has seen a 14 percent surge in applications. Now, the College has exceeded goal for the Class of 2014, as many are making SUNY Potsdam their first choice.  (Read more)

SUNY Potsdam Chosen to Study Learning Communities at Institute
SUNY Potsdam is one of 18 colleges and universities selected by the Washington Center to participate in the 2010 National Summer Institute on Learning Communities from June 27 to July 1 at The Evergreen College in Olympia, Washington.  (Read more)

SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association Awards Scholarships
Two outstanding incoming first-year students are the recipients of the competitive 2010-11 SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association Scholarship. The one-time $1,000 award was presented to Tyler W. Giroux of Burnt Hills, N.Y., and Brittany L. Schermerhorn of Gouverneur, N.Y.  (Read more)

Chemistry Conference Focusing on Sustainability Kicks Off Next Week at SUNY Potsdam
Chemists from a variety of backgrounds and students from all educational levels will gather to discuss the future of sustainability in their scientific field at the 37th Northeast Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society at SUNY Potsdam next week. More than 500 scholars and students from across New England, as well as from as far as Mexico, Taiwan and Germany, are expected to attend.  (Read more)

Metropolitan Opera Broadcasts Return for Summer Series
Take a break from the heat and relive some of the Metropolitan Opera's most amazing performances with Summer HD Encores, screening at Potsdam's Roxy Theater in June and July. The second summer season of The Met: Live in HD will feature six of the most popular operas ever composed in startling high definition and digital surround sound.  (Read more)

Two SUNY Potsdam students were recently recognized with Success Through Achievement and Commitment awards by the College's Student Success Center.
