SUNY Potsdam breaks ground on Becky's Place and announces second $1 million gift
As SUNY Potsdam broke ground on the new student dining facility “Becky’s Place at Pratt Commons” made possible in part from the College’s first-ever $1 million gift, President John F. Schwaller announced SUNY Potsdam’s second $1 million gift from that same donor. (Read more)

SUNY Potsdam's Leuthold to exhibit ceramic work at P.S. 1 Contemporary Art Center
SUNY Potsdam Professor of Art Marc Leuthold is exhibiting artwork at P.S. 1 Contemporary Art Center in New York City, the oldest and second largest non-profit arts center in the United States solely devoted to contemporary art.  (Read more)

SUNY Potsdam now home to pieces of Potsdam Bedrock more than 1.2 billion years old
As crews worked to ready the site of the new Honda dealership on Maple Street in Potsdam, SUNY Potsdam professor emeritus Dr. Neal O’Brien noticed some interesting rocks being unearthed and took steps to ensure SUNY Potsdam could become home to the find.  (Read more)

University Police and Village Police sign Memorandum of Understanding
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the College and the Village dictating how their police agencies will work together to protect both the students and the citizens of Potsdam.  (Read more)

Steinway & Sons names SUNY Potsdam "All Steinway" school
SUNY Potsdam officially became SUNY’s only “All-Steinway” School with the conveying of the prestigious title to SUNY Potsdam President Dr. John F. Schwaller and Crane School of Music Dean Alan Solomon.  (Read more)

SUNY Potsdam's Coyne DeGhett publishes book of poetry
Stephanie Coyne DeGhett, faculty member in SUNY Potsdam’s Department of English and Communication, has recently had a collection of poems published by Finishing Line Press. (Read more)

Colleges Against Cancer raises more than $4,600 to fight breast cancer
Members of the SUNY Potsdam’s student volunteer group Colleges Against Cancer sold 700 shirts “Think Pink” T-shirts (obliterating their 300-shirt goal) and garnered several cash donations, which raised more than $4,600 for the American Cancer Society.  (Read more)

National Taipei University Faculty and Administration Visit SUNY Potsdam
A delegation of faculty and administration from National Taipei University in Taiwan recently visited SUNY Potsdam to sign a memorandum of agreement with the College to explore possible joint international activities involving students and faculty from both institutions. (Read more)

Scholarship Golf Classic Tournament raises $50,000

Endowed scholarship honoring former SUNY Potsdam mathematics chair awarded to students
The scholarship award for each student is $1,500. It will now be awarded each year to at least one BA/MA mathematics student based on merit.  (Read more)
