A Message from the Alumni Relations Office

Mark your calendars!  Reunion 2010 is July 8 -11th!  Here's your opportunity to enjoy the beautiful north country summer and catch up with old friends!  Townhouses are available for a full week this year.  Visit Reunion 2010, updates are made regularly!

Nominate someone for one of the Alumni Association Awards presented during Reunion Weekend in July.  The deadline is February 2.  View award descriptions and nomination form.

Incoming or current students can apply for an Alumni Association Scholarshipin the amount of $1000.  Students must be the child or grandchild of a Potsdam alum.  The deadline for the 2010/2011 award is February 2, 2010.  Download an application.

Team to battle discrimination

SUNY Potsdam's Student Health Services' 2008-2009 Client Satisfaction Survey clearly demonstrated students' overwhelmingly positive view of the care they receive at their home away from home.  (Read more)

Two SUNY Potsdam HR professionals receive prestigious awards
The State University of New York Human Resources Association (SUHRA) recently honored SUNY Potsdam Assistant Vice President of Human Resources Kathryn Perry with its Lifetime Achievement Award and Human Resources Payroll Manager Jill Butler with the Excellence in Human Resources Practices Award.  (Read more)

Dr. Fair-Schulz's scholarly work on East Germany published
SUNY Potsdam Assistant Professor of History Dr. Axel Fair-Schulz has published "Loyal Subversion: East Germany and its Bildungsbürgerlich Marxist Intellectuals," which explores the impact of a specific generation of critical Marxist intellectuals of bildungsbürgerlich extraction.  (Read more)

Westbrook awarded $2,000 scholarship
SUNY Potsdam student and Clarkson Army ROTC Cadet Justin Westbrook of Calcium recently was presented the Lt. Gen. Timothy J. Maude Memorial Fund Scholarship at the Annual Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Convention held in Washington, D.C.  (Read more)
