SUNY Potsdam attracted 13 students at the top of their class for the fall semester SUNY Potsdam welcomed 13 incoming freshmen students at the top of their class for the fall semester, including five valedictorians and eight salutatorians.  (Read more)

Two SUNY Potsdam students get into hard-rock for geology internship experience
Instead of flipping burgers or beach bumming this summer, two SUNY Potsdam geology seniors spent their summers interning in the mining industry.  (Read more)

SUNY Potsdam faculty member to present at Geological Society of America meeting SUNY Potsdam faculty member Dr. Michael C. Rygel will present his scholarly research at the 119th annual meeting of the Geological Society of America, which will be held October 27 through October 31 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, CO. Approximately 6,300 geologists will be present.   (Read more)

SUNY Potsdam student one of Seventeen magazine's “Freshman 15”
Being a college freshman isn’t always easy – especially when you’ve been tapped by the number one magazine for young women to chronicle your ups and downs for millions of people in blogs, photos and videos. But SUNY Potsdam student Elizabeth Enwright of Oswego feels it’s an honor to tell the story of her first year of college for “Seventeen” magazine and MySpace. (Read more)

Think Pink with SUNY Potsdam to support breast cancer research
SUNY Potsdam’s volunteer group Colleges Against Cancer is holding a T-shirt sale in the Barrington Student Union to raise money for the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer research. To help celebrate “Think Pink” Day on October 24, the group is asking everyone who purchased a shirt to wear it and join together at SUNY Potsdam’s Minerva Plaza at noon for a group photo. SUNY Potsdam officially breaks record with largest freshman enrollment in 25 years
SUNY Potsdam welcomed its largest freshman class in a quarter century this semester with a total of 837 full-time first-year students.  (Read more)
