Evan Hadingham, the senior science editor for the award-winning PBS series NOVA, will give two fascinating talks about solving scientific mysteries and producing television shows in lectures sponsored by SUNY Potsdam's Geology Club. (Read more)

German Mega-Brothel Study Topic of Next SUNY Potsdam Women's & Gender Studies Lecture Series Talk
The SUNY Potsdam Women's and Gender Studies Anne R. Malone Lecture Series will continue with a talk given by Clarkson University professor, Dr. Annagret D. Staiger, of Clarkson's humanities department.  Dr. Staiger will give a presentation entitled "Inside a German Mega-Brothel: What the New Legal Regimes Tell Us About Sex and Commerce," at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 5 in the Raymond Hall eighth floor dining room on the SUNY Potsdam campus. SUNY Potsdam's Department of Theatre & Dance will Present Play about Revolutionary Dancer - Isodora Duncan
SUNY Potsdam's Department of Theatre and Dance will host a "one night only" performance of "Love, Isadora," by Rick Foster, a play about the early modern dancer Isadora Duncan, at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21 in Dunn Theater. (Read more)

Crane Alumna Stephanie Blythe Stars in Met Live Ring Cycle Operas
Crane School of Music alumna Stephanie Blythe '92, is already drawing rave reviews for her starring role in the Metropolitan Opera's new production of the first piece in Richard Wagner's Ring Cycle. Blythe portrays Fricka, the indomitable wife of Wotan, in "Das Rheingold." The opera production will be beamed to movie theatres across the globe on Saturday, Oct. 9, through The Met: Live in HD. Community Performance Series will Present 11th Annual Ranlett Organ Recital
Community Performance Series will host a performance by Scott Dettra, the prize-winning organist and associate director of music at the Washington National Cathedral, in the 11th Annual L. Felix and Helen Miller Ranlett Organ Recital on Sunday, Oct. 3. The CPS special event performance will begin at 3 p.m. in the Helen M. Hosmer Concert Hall on the SUNY Potsdam campus. (Read more)

Katharine (Webster) Ciarelli '78 and Kevin Moore '71 will perform in a free 4-hand piano concert at Cazenovia College Theater, Cazenovia, NY. Pieces performed will include works by Schubert, Faure, and Dvorak as well as two pieces composed by Kevin Moore.

Ray Durkee '67 will perform Golden Classics from the Silver Screen concert at the Wood Theatre, Glens Falls, NY.
