Emerging Leaders, a student group focused on leadership and service, leads this effort. The student gift was voted by the students again this year to go to the College’s greatest needs! Last year, you helped the student body and Emerging Leaders present a gift for the College’s greatest needs $18,000!

Crane School of Music

The Crane School of Music

Dean Michael Sitton has completed a full year and is into his second year and continues to make wonderful plans for Crane that honor that well-known “tradition of innovation.” He will use your gifts for student travel for conferences, performances, auditions; ensemble materials; classroom scores; updates to classroom equipment and keyboard labs; and national visibility for faculty and students, as well as plan for Crane's 125th Anniversary this year. Interim Dean Peter Brouwer upholds the traditions represented by the founding school of the College. Libraries

Director of Libraries Jenica Rogers says, “Students’ research starts in the libraries — why shouldn’t it end there, too?” So she is planning to use your gifts toward infrastructure for student-research displays in both libraries. Also your gifts will support a complete renovation of the Crumb lobby; and equipment and interns for the archives, as the College Archivist captures and preserves the College’s history in preparation for celebrations of the College’s 2016 bicentennial. Dean of Student Affairs Chip Morris knows that most of your best memories from College spring from the activities that Student Affairs makes possible. Your gifts will support the fall Welcome Weekend, including the Carnival; Leadership Conference speakers and activities; Winter Fest, including events and performances; and late-night programming for students. Athletics (Bear Pride Club)

Athletics Director Jim Zalacca shares news of the women’s soccer team receiving a 2010 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Ethics Gold Award, one of six teams in the nation, for drawing no red or yellow cards during the season! Your gifts will help Bear pride live on as you support important initiatives such as awards for senior athletes; renovating and updating facilities; Bears Are Back in Town Reunion Weekend; Bear Pride Nights; and alumni receptions at athletic events.
