Reunion Weekend 2012 is July 12-15, 2012 – Have You Marked Your Calendar?
The Class of 1977 has created a Facebook group for its 35th Class Reunion. The Class of 1992 has created a Facebook group for its 20th Class Reunion. Check out these groups to join in the chatter about the upcoming reunion. If your class doesn't have its own page, no problem! Just check out the SUNY Potsdam Alumni page, where there are 2,100 members. Just click the “Ask to Join Group” button. It's a good place to find out what's going on and to reconnect with current and former friends. SUNY Potsdam is holding its first ever “Return To Potsdam Weekend” March 30-April 1, 2012. Come back to Potsdam for a weekend full of activities. This weekend is targeted to our Alumni from the classes of 2001-2011, but all are welcome! Learn More (PDF)
Crane 125th Events – in Potsdam AND New York City!
In celebration of Crane’s 125th Anniversary, many alumni will be returning to campus to perform and participate in events scheduled throughout the year. This includes both a Potsdam and New York City performance by The Crane Chorus and Crane Symphony Orchestra of Verdi’s monumental Messa da Requiem under the baton of Ann Howard Jones, the 2012 Dorothy Albrecht Gregory Visiting Conductor. The New York City performance is made possible by the Adeline Maltzan Crane Chorus Performance Tour Fund, funded by Dr. Gary C. Jaquay '67. SUNY Potsdam's Nearly 200-Year History Documented with Photographs
Nearly 200 years of SUNY Potsdam history are documented in photographs in an Arcadia Publishing’s Campus History series. Authored by SUNY Potsdam alumnae Jane M. Subramanian ’72 and Virginia Rose Cayey ’60, the book boasts more than 200 vintage images and memories of days gone by. Crane Piano Professor Paints Portrait of Billy Joel for Steinway
Dr. Paul Wyse, an associate professor of piano at SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music who is also a renowned painter, recently completed a full-length portrait of “piano man” Billy Joel. (Read More)
