Reunion Weekend 2014: Register Now for FREE!
Register by June 30th to receive free registration!  The weekend schedule, registration information and a list of registered alumni and friends can be found online.  Printed materials can be found in the spring issue of the alumni magazine, Potsdam People.  We look forward to seeing you July 10-13!

Come Back to the Classroom During Reunion Weekend and Attend the Potsdam Academy Day!
Register now for Potsdam Academy Day which will be held in conjunction with Reunion Weekend on July 10th!  Relive some of your Potsdam memories by returning to the classroom on campus to take fun, hands-on classes!  Go online to view the full schedule.

Return This Reunion For A Student Affairs Symposium!
Return to Potsdam and the college that inspired you to become a Student Affairs professional for a Student Affairs Symposium.  We will have programs offered by fellow alums and Student Affairs professionals covering "Greek Affairs", "Connecting with Your Student Affairs Story", "How and Why to Become Involved in a National Professional Organization", Preparing for a Doctoral Program", and "I Wish I Knew Then What I Know Now"!  Many of the programs will be lead by a panel of alums who will generate discussion with, and participation by, those attending the program.  This will also be a great opportunity to spend time with Dean of Students Emeritus Dan Hurley ’54 and Chris Strong ’Hon 02, Vice President for Student Affairs Emerita. Help Support Your Alumni Association with Donations for the Reunion Weekend Silent Auction!
The SUNY Potsdam Alumni Board is seeking donated items for the Reunion Weekend Silent Auction.  Funds raised at the auction will be used to support Alumni Association initiatives.  Items donated may be considered tax deductible (as allowable by law).  To donate an item, contact the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@potsdam.edu.

Annual Association Meeting Notice
The Annual Alumni Association business meeting will be conducted on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 9:15 a.m., including the approval of the 2014-15 slate of new trustees.

Attention Piano Teachers! Join us at the Crane Piano Pedagogy Conference on Saturday, September 27, 2014.
Come back to The Crane School of Music for an inspiring day of free workshops with renowned piano pedagogue, Dr. Randall Faber. His workshops will focus on building age-appropriate skills in elementary and intermediate piano students, including motivation, technique and musicianship. Dr. Faber is well known internationally as a lecturer, and he is co-author of the bestselling Piano Adventures teaching method. Attention Crane Alumni TromboneS (CATS)!
Mark your calendars now to Save the Date for the 2nd quinquennial Crane Alumni Trombone event to be held during Alumni weekend, July 9 and 12, 2015.  Any Crane trombone alumnus is welcome to play or just come to see some of your friends from your time at Crane.  We are planning several rehearsals and a Saturday night concert as well as a banquet and a softball game, minus the trumpet players!  You may join our Facebook group called "Crane Trombone Alumni".  Feel free to contact Mark Hartman at hartmams@potsdam.edu if you have questions.  More information will be posted as we get closer to the event.  This will also mark Dr. Hartman's 30th year as the trombone studio professor at the Crane School of Music.  Return to campus to celebrate with Dr. Hartman and alumni and friends!

To access the directory via BearPaws, alumni must have a potsdam.edu email account. You can request an email account online or by calling the Alumni Office at (315) 267-2120. Once you have your potsdam.edu email address, go to www.bearpaws.potsdam.edu and select “Alumni Services.” Tab through the various options to update your profile, find a classmate, make a gift or explore career opportunities. SUNY Potsdam Honors 913 Bachelor's Graduates at Commencement
SUNY Potsdam celebrated its 2014 Bachelor’s Commencement Ceremony with sunshine, speeches and smiles on Sunday, May 18. Potsdam recognized 913 undergraduates as they completed their baccalaureate studies, and bade farewell to Interim President Dr. Dennis L. Hefner, as he participated in his first and only Commencement at the College before returning to retirement. (Read More)

SUNY Potsdam Recognizes 215 Master's Graduates at Commencement
SUNY Potsdam recognized 215 candidates for master's degrees at the College's ninth annual Master's Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 17. Excitement was in the air in the Helen M. Hosmer Concert Hall at SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music. Families and friends cheered, as professors laid scarlet and blue cowls over the graduates' shoulders to signify their new academic degrees. (Read More)

SUNY Potsdam Honors Jeffrey Washburn '79 with 2014 Roger B. Linden Distinguished Service Award
SUNY Potsdam has named Jeffrey Washburn '79 as the recipient of its 2014 Roger B. Linden Distinguished Service Award, the highest award bestowed by the College. The annual recognition is bestowed upon an individual who has demonstrated steadfast support for SUNY Potsdam and the region through his or her leadership, advocacy, stewardship and service. SUNY Potsdam Honors Joyce Yianoukos '71 with 2014 Leadership Through Service Award
SUNY Potsdam recognized Joyce Yianoukos '71 with the 2014 Leadership Through Service Award, one of the College's highest honors, during Commencement weekend. SUNY Potsdam established the Leadership Through Service Award to honor those outstanding individuals and organizations that have demonstrated a commitment of service to the Potsdam community. From SUNY Potsdam to the Legislature: Intern Leads Model Senate & Lands Job
SUNY Potsdam student Philip Paige '15 didn't just land an internship with the New York State Legislature—he aced it. The North Country native, who was assigned to intern with the office of SUNY Potsdam alumna State Senator Patricia Ritchie '91, was elected by the dozens of other interns in the program to lead the annual Model Legislative Session.

Brittany Lucky Named Second Team All-USCHO
SUNY Potsdam senior women's hockey player Brittany Lucky ’14 Kanata, Ontario/Ottawa Senators) has been named second team All-USCHO by U.S. College Hockey Online. Lucky joins teammate Jordan Ott ’17 the website's rookie of the year, who claimed a spot on the all-rookie team.  (Read More)

  1. Resume Referral Service:  If you are seeking employment upload your resume to BearTracker.  Once approved it will be sent by Career Planning to employers posting full-time positions that reflect your qualification.
  2. Searchable Job/Internship Databases:  BearTracker is where you can search for jobs and internships.  It consists of five search engines allowing you to search by keyword, location, or occupational field.
  3. Hire A Potsdam Alum:  Employers can post jobs/internships that can be viewed by students and alumni. This is a free service. Create a profile on BearTracker.
