A Message from the Alumni Relations Office

Greetings From Your Alma Mater!

Do You Have A LinkedIn Or Facebook Account?
If so, be sure to join the SUNY Potsdam Alumni groups for both of these social media platforms to receive notices from the College, updates and alumni event details.

Join Us For Potsdam’s 1st Mr./Ms. UNIVERSity Contest
Want to see some pumped up pride at SUNY Potsdam? Save the date for Friday, March 15, and join us at 7 p.m. in the Barrington Student Union Multi-Purpose Room when 12 campus groups will sponsor a candidate for the Mr./Ms. UNIVERSity Contest. Each contestant will compete in three categories: Showing Potsdam Pride, Academic/General Questions and Talent. There will also be an opportunity for the audience to vote, along with three official judges, for their favorite candidate. Admission is $3 at the door. All proceeds benefit the Student Gift, which was voted on by the students in the fall to support The Annual Fund for Potsdam, which supports the College's greatest opportunities and needs.

Spring Means The "Buzz" Of New Life
Beginning in early March, our "Buzz" callers (student Phonathon callers) wish to speak with alumni to ask for your support for The Annual Fund for Potsdam, to bolster the area that is most special to you – Arts & Sciences, Crane, Education & Professional Studies, Libraries, Student Affairs, or Athletics. Please think about where within Potsdam you want to make a difference; and, when you hear a student calling from (315) 267-2000, answer the phone and enjoy chatting with one of today’s students!  Of course, you may make a gift anytime online. Thank you to our many wonderful donors!

Happy 197th Birthday SUNY Potsdam!
Come and join us for cake as the College will be celebrating its 197th Birthday on April 2, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Barrington Student Union Lobby.  All are invited to this Charter Day celebration.

Reunion Weekend 2013, July 11-14, 2013
We hope you are making plans to attend Reunion 2013!  Registration materials will be included in the spring issue of the Alumni Magazine, Potsdam People. A tentative Schedule of Events can be viewed here.
