Potsdam to hold Teddy Bear Toss at Friday's men's hockey game

POTSDAM, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam Athletic Leadership Council will hold a Teddy Bear Toss during this Friday's Bears men's hockey game against SUNY Canton.

Fans are encouraged to bring a Teddy Bear to the contest with them. The bears will be thrown onto the ice after Potsdam's first goal of the game and then donated to Misty Hollow. The store will distribute the teddy bears to local hospitals and children in need. SUNY Potsdam's Bookstore is currently running a sale on teddy bears to support the effort.

Friday night's contest marks the first time in the long series that the Bears will face the Kangaroos as a fully-fledged Division III opponent. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
