Men's soccer collects food for Potsdam Neighborhood Center

POTSDAM, N.Y.?For the second straight year, the SUNY Potsdam men's soccer team has collected non-perishable food through its first five home games.

The Bears collected over 250 items, which will be donated to the Potsdam Neighborhood Center, a division of the Food Bank of Central New York. The Neighborhood Center, located at 2 Park Street, helps to feed the needy and at risk youth throughout the North Country. The center also provides emergency funds for shelter and utilities for families.

The Bears (6-4, 0-1 SUNYAC) continue their hunt for the postseason with home contests against SUNY Cortland and Oswego State this weekend. Potsdam hosts the Red Dragons at 4 p.m. this Friday, followed by the Lakers at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
