Sophomore guard Carli Reynolds continued the Bears momentum at the 7:15 mark with a layup and free throw to complete an old fashion three-point play. A quick basket by sophomore forward Margaret Wall and Briedis a minute later capped off a 9-0 Potsdam run. However, a late 8-0 Brockport charge put the Golden Eagles up 34-30 at the half.

Both teams battled back-and-forth throughout the beginning of the second stanza. The Bears continued to claw their way into contention. Junior forward Jessica Kouzan drilled a three with 15:45 remaining to tie the game at 42 all. Potsdam rode the momentum as Wall connected on a jump shot to give the Bears their first lead of the game at the 13:53 mark. The Bears went on a five-minute scoring drought but were able to tie the game at 56 a piece with a basket from senior forward Adedoyin Akingba. A final push by the Golden Eagles in the remaining two minutes of the contest forced Potsdam to foul. Brockport was able to close out the game on a 10-0 run to seal the 68-59 victory.

Potsdam struggled from the floor, shooting 35% and 18% from beyond the arc. Brockport held the advantage in rebounds with 46 to the Bears 39. Weigel finished with 13 points and five boards. Kouzan nearly missed double digits with nine points and eight rebounds.
