Ott named All-SUNYAC shortstop
POTSDAM, N.Y.—SUNY Potsdam freshman shortstop Jordan Ott (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) has been named to the All-SUNYAC softball second team..
Ott made an immediate impact for Potsdam by starting in all 30 games. She was primarily used as the leadoff hitter and led the Bears in batting average (.341), slugging percentage (.538), runs scored (10), hits (31), doubles (10), triples (four), total bases (49), walks (11) and was tied for the lead in stolen bases (six).
Ott had three-hit games against Kalamazoo College on March 22 during the Dot Richardson Tournament in Clermont, Fla. and again on April 19 against SUNY New Paltz.
In the field, Ott was third on the team in putouts with 67 and first on the team in assists with 59.
Ott is an accomplished two-sport player at SUNY Potsdam. U.S. College Hockey Online (USCHO.com) named Ott its Division III Women's Hockey Rookie of Year. In addition, Ott is a member of the All-ECAC West second team and led the Bears in scoring with a single season record 36 points.
