Clarkson-Potsdam Men's Basketball Preview

POTSDAM, NY- The men’s basketball team will host cross-town rival Clarkson in a non-conference contest Tuesday night at 7 pm at Jerry Welsh Gymnasium.
The Bears are 3-16 overall (2-11 in SUNYAC). They lost to Fredonia on Saturday 58-53. Three Bears are averaging in double figures led by Curtis Pierce at 13.5 points a game. He also has a team leading 106 rebounds. Anthony Williams Jr. is averaging 13.2 points a game and leads in blocks with 15. Ben Walker is averaging 10.5 points a game and has a team high 33 steals.
Clarkson is 11-9 overall. They defeated Vassar in their last game 75-60. Elson Pickering leads in points averaging 11.1 points a game. He also has a team high 27 blocks. Brandon Linton has a team high in steals with 29 and assists with 83. Jonathan Hood leads in rebounds with 147.
The teams met earlier in the season on November 21 in Clarkson’s Alumni Gymnasium with the Golden Knights winning that game 83-62.
