Matt Rhymer is back for his third season with the Bears. Rhymer has seven goals and 21 assists for 28 points in 47 career games.

2009-10: Played in 22 games, posting three goals and 10 assists for 13 points. Two goals came on the power play.

2008-09: Played in 25 games, scoring four goals and totaling 11 assists for 15 points. Rhymer had two power-play goals and one game-winning goal.

Personal: Rhymer is majoring in education and hopes to be a primary school teacher. He feels he needs to stay committed to improve as a player this season. His favorite athletes are Bobby Orr and Tiger Woods and he’s a fan of the Ottawa Senators. His favorite food is pasta with chicken, NHL.com is his favorite Web site, and “The Tragically Hip” is his favorite band. The junior lists “Hockey Night in Canada” as his favorite TV show and “Tin Cup” as his favorite movie. Rhymer says he’d be a golfer if he wasn’t already playing hockey. His greatest Potsdam memories include doing anything with his teammates.
