OSWEGO, NY- Host Oswego scored three times in the third period as they got by the men’s hockey team 5-1 on Friday night. The Bears’ record is 7-10-2 (3-7-1 in SUNYAC).
The game was scoreless after the first period. Oswego scored twice in the second period to hold a 2-0 lead. The Bears shortened the lead to one on a Connor Treacy (Markham, ONT/Markham Waxers) goal early in the third period. The Lakers would expand their lead as they scored three more times in the period and come away with the victory.
The teams were nearly even in shots with the Bears holding a slight lead 28-26.
Andy Groulx (Rockland, ONT/Orangville Crushers) had the start in goal for the Bears and made 21 saves. Paul Beckwith had 27 saves for Oswego.
The Bears next head to Cortland for a 7 pm game tomorrow night
