Sy Nutkevitch is back for his third season with the Bears. The junior has 43 points (12 goals, 31 assists) in 50 career games.
2009-10: Played in all 25 games and was the team’s fourth-leading scorer with five goals and 16 points for 21 points.
2008-09: Played in 25 games and was the Bear’s top freshman scorer with seven goals and 15 assists for 22 points. Two of Nutkevitch’s goals came on the power play.
Personal: Nutkevitch is majoring in communications with a minor in coaching. The junior believes the key to improving this season is to work on his skating and to shoot more during games. He’s a big fan of Joe Sakic, the Montreal Canadiens, and the music of Fabolous. Hot dogs are his favorite food, “Entourage” is his favorite TV show, and “Youngblood” is his favorite movie. Nutkevitch says he’d be playing baseball if he wasn’t a hockey player.
