Kayla Howard starts her second season at SUNY Potsdam after posting 34 kills, 31 digs and 18 blocks in 22 matches played in 2009.
Personal: Howard is majoring in biology and hopes for a career in marine biology following college. A fan of country music and the film “Finding Nemo,” Howard believes she needs to “let go of the last play” to improve as a player. She lists her greatest sports accomplishment as gaining second team all-state recognition after her junior year of high school and says she has “too many” fond memories at Potsdam.
