Erica Romaniello returns for her fourth season as a member of the Potsdam volleyball program. Last season, she recorded a team-high 478 digs to go along with 37 service aces, good for second on the team, in 36 matches played.
2008: Totaled 17 service aces and 90 digs in 29 matches played.
2007: In 28 matches played, posted 141 digs, 21 kills and 20 service aces.
Personal: Romaniello is an elementary education major and an aspiring teacher. A three-sport athlete in high school, Romaniello lists participating on a college team as her greatest sports accomplishment and believes she needs to “stay focused on goals” to improve as a player. Her favorite food is nachos, and she says she can be found in the kitchen when not playing sports. She names her mother and coach as influential people in her life “for many reasons.” Romaniello’s greatest Potsdam memories involve getting her first 3.0 grade point average and “everything I did with the team.”
