Sam Strader returns for her third year as a member of the Bears volleyball team. In 36 matches played last season, she led the team with 201 kills and finished with 232 digs and 43 blocks, both good for second on the team.
2008: Collected 22 kills and 11 blocks in 15 matches played.
Personal: Strader is majoring in biology education with hopes of becoming a biology teacher after graduation. To improve as a player, Strader believes she needs to “go to a ton” of individual workouts. She enjoys being outdoors when not playing sports, and names Creative Writing her favorite Potsdam class. A fan of the University of Texas athletic teams, Strader lists going to the ECAC Tournament as her favorite Potsdam memory. |
