Dawn Akingba returns for her second season with the Bears after pulling down 67 rebounds in 24 games played in 2009-10.
Personal: Akingba is majoring in biology and aspires to be a heart surgeon. Akingba, who is also a member of the Potsdam women’s lacrosse team, lists professional basketball stars Kobe Bryant, Stephen Curry and Blake Griffin as her favorite athletes. Her hobbies off the court include listening to music, reading and dancing. Akingba’s favorite class at Potsdam is Biology 152, and her top memory is going to Disney World with the lacrosse team.
