Poirier Named SUNYAC Player of the Week

POTSDAM, NY- Cortney Poirier (Moira/Brushton-Moira) was named the SUNYAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for her efforts in last week’s games.

Poirier was huge for the Bears as she twice led the team in scoring. She averaged 25.7 points, 9 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.3 steals in three games. She had double-doubles in back-to-back games including a career high 37 points in a 66-60 win over New Paltz on Friday night. She also passed the 1500 point mark for her career and is the Bears all-time leading scorer.
