Jen Conophy enters her second season with the Bears.
2009-10: Played in 13 games, starting six and posting a record of 2-2-1. In 461:16 between the pipes Conophy posted a save percentage of .899, a 4.81 goals against average, and stopped 329 shots.
Personal: Conophy is majoring in biology and hopes to become a veterinarian after SUNY Potsdam. She feels to the key to improving on the ice is practicing at full speed. The sophomore is a fan of fellow goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury and his Pittsburgh Penguins. Conophy says if she wasn’t playing hockey she’d like to try basketball. Her favorite food is chicken and she’s a big fan of Taylor Swift. Her favorite Web site is YouTube and her favorite movie is “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” Conophy says her greatest Potsdam memory is getting the program’s first win on home ice.
