RIT Defeats Bears

ROCHESTER, NY- The women’s hockey team fell in defeat to the host RIT Tigers 17-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Annmarie Lewis (Newmarket, ONT/Aurora Panthers) scored the lone goal for the Bears in the second period. She was assisted on the play by Monique Gagner (Massena/Tilton) and Stephanie Simons (Stratford, ONT/Bluewater Hawks.
Hilary Hitchman (Potsdam/Oswego State) started in goal and had 29 saves. Jen Conophy (Glenmont/Albany Ice Cats) came in relief in the second period and had 32 saves.
The Bears return home to face Plattsburgh on Tuesday at 7 pm.
