Cortney Poirier enters her second year with the Bears women’s soccer team after leading the 2009 team in goals (10), shots (48) and shots on goal (35). She also posted seven assists, good for second on the team.

Personal: Poirier is a senior majoring in chemistry. She received the Maxcy Molnar award as the school’s top senior female athlete last spring after finishing her four-year career as the all-time leading scorer in Potsdam women’s basketball history. Poirier admits she needs to become better at dribbling to improve as a soccer player, and enjoys watching TV and eating when not playing sports.
