International Summer Basketball Camp


For boys and girls entering grades 3-12

July 8 - 12, 2012

For the past 41 years, the Potsdam Bears International Summer Basketball Camp has attracted over 12,500 campers from the small towns of northern New York, twenty different states, the provinces of Ontario and Qué­bec and around the world. Players will learn the fundamentals of basketball for the 42nd consecutive year at one of the most highly rated camps in the country. Last summer 400 players learned skills through individual and group instruction from a staff of over 75 top college and high school coaches.

Since many of the campers are from Canada, this co-ed camp is truly international in flavor. It is one of the only camps in the country where students from both countries have an opportunity to learn about their neighbors and play on the same team. Although both boys and girls attend camp in the same sessions, the skill groups and teams are not co-ed. Campers will be grouped by age and/or ability level to ensure their maximum development.  In addition, an Olympic-size pool, a state-of-the-art weight and exercise room, indoor and outdoor tracks, and a modern athletic training room are available for all campers.

Fees

Resident Campers: $405 (U.S. funds)
Commuter Campers: $265 (U.S. funds)
Registration Deadline:  June 29, 2012

Please make checks payable to "SUNY Potsdam" in U.S. funds, or you may pay by credit card (MasterCard and Visa accepted.)  Additional information will be mailed to campers after registration.  Please note that SUNY Potsdam is no longer able to process international checks.  International campers are asked to register online or via telephone, or mail money orders in U.S. funds.
