Games

"Please note that each team has a number next to it on the top of the schedule. That number tells you your game times on Saturday and Sunday. Also note, there are no Friday games scheduled. We have tried to cut down on travel costs for everyone when possible. Each team has four games scheduled- if you are in a four team bracket your fourth game is a 1 v 2 or 3 v 4 game on Sunday. Please also note, that there are games scheduled at Clarkson University (about 1 mile from SUNY Potsdam) on Sunday as well. We have also included the Can Am information sheet that explains game rules, tie breakers, etc. Thank you in advance for coming to our tournament. We look forward to another great weekend of basketball."

Sincerely, Sherry Dobbs and Tara Ruckh
Can Am Hoops Classic Tournament Co-Directors

Each team is guaranteed four games. Boys' and girls' divisions will be organized by grades 6-12.  In addition, A & B levels in each grade division will be established (if possible) to allow teams of similar caliber to compete against each other. We will attempt to form A & B pools of five teams for each age group. If possible, each team will play all the respective teams in their pool. We will make every effort to provide a top quality event by limiting the number of teams, providing highly capable timers and scorers, and utilizing only certified referees.

Note: Not all teams are scheduled for Friday games.  We will try to accommodate reasonable scheduling requests if possible.

International Competition

Invitations are being mailed to various Northeastern states in the U.S. and to the Ontario and Québec provinces of Canada. We expect to have several Canadian teams in each age group.

Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis as the entry fees arrive. Please fill out one entry form for each team entered.  Payment in full of the $400 (U.S.) entry fee is due at the time of registration. "We've been coming for four years and will be back for a fifth.  From the start, you have done things the right way and I have seen only improvement, even as your teams increased.  We really liked the mini-clinics." ~ Coach
