SUNY Potsdam is pleased to offer the Can-Am Double Sticks Camp for male hockey/lacrosse players ages 10 to 17. This camp is unique in that we offer the opportunity for dual sport athletes to develop and improve their skills in both hockey and lacrosse at the same camp!
Athletes will be grouped by their age and ability and will be supervised by our skilled staff. With a low camper to staff ratio, we will be able to help each athlete work toward reaching his potential. Through exciting drills and game situations on the ice, players will improve skating and stick handling skills, offensive and defensive strategies, and position and game strategies. Our dry-land training will help athletes improve speed and strength on the ice and on the field. Campers can look forward to improving fundamentals, positional skill development, and offensive and defensive team concepts on the lacrosse field.
SUNY Potsdam's facilities will be the site of all on-ice and on-field training. Each player will be given their own locker at Maxcy Hall to store all their gear. At the end of the camp, each player will receive a personal written evaluation that will describe strengths and weaknesses and how to reach their potential.
